Amstrad PPC512 A

A dear friend brought this computer from me from Spain, together with a similar version with a Spanish keyboard.

This is easily my favorite portable computer, its chunky size and odd way of opening all work together to form a beautiful, quirky design.

On the right are two Goteks, which were already installed when I received it.

To open it, fold the keyboard down and raise the screen

The main components are divided between two boards, sandwiched together with connectors.

Memory upgrade

Upgrading the standard 512K memory to 640K is pretty straight forward, just add more memory ICs:
