Macintosh Plus B
I purchased this Apple Macintosh Plus through a local online marketplace together with another Plus as untested.
Work done:
- Replace bad capacitors
- Clean the computer, keyboard and mouse
- Clean and service the floppy drive
Exterior inspection:
The case was very dirty, but otherwise in reasonable shape:




Unfortunately, there was a battery installed which was just about to start leaking, but luckily there was no oxidation inside yet.

Like many Macs from this era, this computer also had paper Rifa capacitors, which tend to blow up once they're dried out. Luckily, these are easily replaced with modern equivalents:

After this, it was safe to try powering it up:

The inside needed a good cleaning so I decided to fully disassemble everything, here are some pictures fully cleaned:
