Apple Macintosh Portable
I purchased this computer locally as faulty, with a cracked screen, together with a Macintosh II.
Aside from the cracked screen, it is really in amazing condition, with no battery damage at all, and with the original carrying case and power supply.
Work done:
- Initial inspection
Planned work:
- Replacing the LCD
- Replacing the electrolytic capacitors
- Rebuild the original battery

As you can see here, there was quite a lot of leakage from the 9V backup battery:





The board clearly suffers from leaky SMD capacitors, but there doesn't appear to be any major damage:

Luckily, there was only superficial dirt from the battery, which was easily cleaned:
